My daughter was enrolled in Cedar Hills Kinder Care.Aster a while we noticed she comes home with a scratch, bruise or even *** marks on regular basis.
We brought this to Corey's, the center director, attention. She confirmed it was done by another child who seems to be having issues because her mom is expecting another child. She said their protocol is that they'd talk to the parents and if it continued, they'd ask the parents to not bring their child to school. We told her that we were very concerned as our daughter could get hurt.
For about 8 weeks, not only did they not do anything about this, the tried to "brush it under the rug" so to speak. It came down to a day where my daughter got seriously bit on her hand by this other child. Her hand was swollen, skin removed, she bled and the area was very painful. We went back to school to talk to Corey and Elizabeth, Cory's assistant, just to hear them come up with bunch of excuses.
They said 2 year olds do that, or the skin is removed when our daughter removed the Band Aid or may be their school is not right for our daughter! We are not even sure if Corey even talked to the child's parents.
We are very disheartened that they did nothing to address this issue despite us telling them it is a safety problem for several weeks. It definitely is negligence on Corey's and her staff's part!
