My daughter was always assigned more than the recommended number of children per teacher;

Most times there was no one to take over so she could go to the restroom; most times could not go the whole day.

One day while moving her class from one to another, one child playfully broke from the line and ran down the end of the hallway inside the building- less than 3 feet away. She secured the rest and retrieved run-a-way kid.

She got terminated; she more than the recommended number of children per teacher; KinderCare refused compensation for wrongful termination

Monetary Loss: $20.

Location: Mclean, Virginia

They are all about the money. But what corporation isn't?

I would not send my child to Kindercare. They boast curriculum which is rarely done because there is so much transitioning. Labor hours have to be cut so staff are sent home. This means children need to be moved.

Even if it means putting them in a classroom that is not developmentally appropriate. While working for kinder-care I had 2 year olds put in the school age room. The toys and furniture are simply not appropriate.

They may boast of curriculum and the classes may look nice but you don't know what happens while your child is there. And while a staff member may voice concerns management doesn't always listen.

That is write i agree a DM must be writting this. I also use to work for Kindercare as a Director.

All they care is about the bottom line.

Enrichment programs should be part of the curriculum. Not everyone could afford to pay extra for tuition, that alone is pricey.

I to work for the awesome company of KinderCare and am sure there is a little more to that story as we want to have long term staff as that is the most beneficial thing for our children. However, if child supervision policies are not followed for the safety of all we must act.
