Kindercare Director Review

The Director of the East Thornton Colorado location is a heartless, uncaring administrator. A truly horrible person. I wouldn't entrust her with my child under any circumstance.

The past center I worked at was a KinderCare in Massachusetts. I've worked at numerous other centers that weren't corporate and let me tell you it's a world of a difference! KinderCare and it's CEO's are the most money hungry company I have ever seen or heard of in my...

I am on the same page as you. Well in our center A.D or the assistant's time card is fixed by the center director , as she does not want to work in the center.

We have lost so much business to our competitive place as our director is lazy and always wants to go home early. She does not know how to talk to families and we lose business due to poor communication on her behalf.

Mine time card was also altered and nobody does anything about it as for them they need money for Florida trip each year to enjoy and have fun. Afterall they don't care about poor conditions of centers or that our center needs paint save money and take bonus, is the motto.

KinderCare in Seattle, Washington - The Toilets Flooded in the pre K classrooms both water and *** came out!!

The toilets flooded and in matter of seconds the hall ways, and two classes were covered in water and ***! All the kids were moved to the toddler room. The kids stepped in it. Parents were not notified. The assistant director did not close down the center she had a couple employees clean up what they could. Parents were never notified that there children had stepped in ***. It was a bad call on her behalf. The center smelled bad! Facilities never showed up that day like she said or the next to clean the carpets. The licencer should be informed!

It seems that KinderCare gets accused of being a poor company or care provider based on the actions of some of the management members operating various centers. This is unfair & overshadows all of the wonderful things the company provides for families & local...

How about hiring better CDs then? So, yes, the company can be blamed based on the staff they hire.

Funny as I gave that place 5 years of my life and found the CD to be no different than the ones complained about on this site. Gossipy, backstabbing and giving staff a hard time about everything. I am so much happier since I left. As for letting the company know about these issues, when people do, they are ignored or the AD sides with the CD.

I have seen it happen on many occasions.

This happened at our center too....our CD held a staff meeting and told us that we were being audited so we needed to complete our timesheets from the present back to the previous year. Coincidentally, there were two other employees besides myself that were handed a stack of old timesheets to initial and sign.

I

asked outright "Isn't this falsification?". By doing as asked, I was basically saying that I was given a break when I wasn't. Needless to say, I was hushed up, given the evil eye and had the AD sitting next to me, pointing where I needed to sign. We were told we HAD to do this or our center could be shut down.

Long story, short....the CD was fired a few months later BUT the AD was able to stay.

For me, the retaliation began and even going to the NEW CD, didn't help. For me, the icing on the cake came when the AD scolded one of my parents for taking up too much of my time during her Parent/Teacher conference. The AD did this in a very crowded reception area, filled with other staff and parents. My parent was of Asian descent and spoke very little English began shaking and bowing and apologizing profusely.

As I walked her out to the parking lot, she was crying.

I reported the incident to the CD telling her not to address this to the AD because I will pay the price. Within two weeks, I was given a write up over late paperwork and my employment threatened.

I told the CD this was going to happen...I turned in my resignation. I'm happy to say after almost 8 years in that horribly stressful environment, I've found another teaching position that allows growth, opportunity and the respect that we all so deserve.

KinderCare in Fairfax, Virginia - *** in Management

A friend of mine works at one of the KinderCare locations in Northern Virginia. Recently, when she came down ill and brought her director a doctor's note instructing her to stay home, she was met with a situation that basically threatened her job. Her director told her she wouldn't be needed the following week anyway. My friend began asking the other KinderCare directors in the area if she could work some hours to keep her income. When her director learned that a few of the other directors really wanted her on a full-time basis, my friend was begged not to leave her current center and given additional hours in the following weeks. While this helped my friend financially, this sort of management seems very unprofessional. Why would you tell an employee you might not need them working and then beg them not to take a better job offer?

@Anonymous

With your spelling and grammar you have no business working in kindercare and working with our children. Also childish name calling do you really approve of the childish name calling the OP is doing that is being a poor role model for children.

Really? A Friend of yours?

or is this you?

Think it is the later.......why do you think they did this? Why don't you just come out and say it.......they already know who wrote this.

This is a current complaint (Dec. 2013). As a former parent of that sad place, Sheree Berry, the center director, has lied to my face more times than I can count about injuries my child suffered there in the Pre-K class (don't tell me that's not a *** mark when I can...

My child currently attends this KinderCare in Fairfax and I have not had the same problems. I've personally always found Sheree and the teachers to be warm and personable.

And even though they juggle a lot with all of the students, everyone seems professional and friendly. I guess every experience is different.

My husband and I went to many daycares before deciding on Fairfax KinderCare for our infant. We are happy with our choice!

I love KinderCare in Lakeville. Both of my children have attended since they were infants.

I have seen a lot of improvement over the past few months. It is sad that there are so many negative comments about such a great center.

KinderCare in Tooele, Utah - Bad enviroment

Long story short my daughter just. Left. This school because she was hitting bitting and cussing. And Kelly the director or whatever she is tried to make it seem like my baby was a bad apple and I almost believed that was the case unroll I came up to the daycare and saw a bunch of kids running around doing the same thing an a little boy got kicked out for it and it puzzled me for months as to why she was acting out like this she doesn't do it anywhere else. And come to fined out it was because of the environment she's a sponge at this age and she picks up and mimics everything so for her to make the comment like my baby was just bad was ***. She's needs to get her center together and monitar all of the children

The director and assistant director show a lack of professionalism in the way they treat their employees. They talk negatively about staff to other staff members. Kids are constantly being shifted around to cut hours. If parents only knew how much they paid for daycare...

i totally agree with you 100% , our place is the same way. I am so tired of this incompetency, by our so called mentors.

A recent visit to florida where company spend three million dollars on the salaried directors , was a complete waste.

Now we know why we don'get raises, and they still are given bonuses.

HEY!!! you want to be in the same boat give up your bonus, corporate people.

be in the same boat like a common low paid teacher, then we shall see the enrolment go up, it only matters when their pocket is hit. so i completely agree with whoever you are.
