KinderCare review in Phoenix, Arizona: Teachers with Felony Convictions No Credentials

Kindercare claims they do background checks on their employees. This may be the case but they do not enforce those checks done which have found the employee(s) to have a felony conviction(s). Many teachers have no credentials and are in no way fit or qualified to care for young children or children of any age. Teachers yell and hit the children. Some teachers have been released as a result while others remain employed. The rooms are overcrowded and either too hot or too cold and the parents' requests are ignored. The facility is not secure as they allow anyone inside regardless of the rules stating only those with a student enrolled there have access.

I used to work at the daycare. The director always showing favoritism towards certain teachers.

I would always be left out of ratio. I would open the class and have upwards of ten infants by myself and I would call on the intercom for a second teacher and no one would come. Luckily all my infants were easy to calm and settle in I would check diapers as soon as they were brought in ask parents about feeding times and any special requirements for the day.

Number 1 thing was making sure parents fill out there daily form so I had the info ready to look at. I could manage all my babies well but I shouldn't have had to the ratio is max 5 infants and that ratio was constantly violated.

I work for KinderCare too and agree with almost everything you said. Lol how sad is that, that for a minute I thought you were talking about my exact location.

I'm now looking for a different employer to work for because I as a teacher care about the children and cannot be the best I can be working for such a corrupt company as KinderCare. Children are nothin but dollar signs to them and they don't give a rats *** about the teachers.

I worked for two different Kindercare centers in just over a year. I love working with children and have a degree in elementary education and am pursuing a career in educational psychology.

Many of the teachers in the centers that I worked for are all the same, caring and wonderful with the children. The center director at my most recent location leaves much to be desired. She is unprofessional in ways I still have trouble with. She would rarely come out of her office except when she was checking numbers.

She never gives bathroom breaks for employees unless it is for her favorites since she plays that card too. The person that relieves us is the cook who has to then scramble to get the food done in time. The director is a miserable *** and that is putting it nicely. Parents don't like her and have voiced their opinions, corporate does nothing.

She leaves many of the classrooms out of ratio because god forbid she step in when we are out of ratio. She slams doors and has no people skills what so ever. Corporate will do nothing to get rid of her because she keeps FTE up and cuts employee hours whenever possible. She knew that there was an employee ready to have a baby and knew that other employees would be leaving after the summer to return to regular teaching jobs and yet she did not hire replacements leaving the staff to juggle and shift students into other classrooms.

In my center there was a child with special needs and the child took a tumble on the playground. He was in a lot of pain and we could tell this by the way he was crying and complaining about the pain. I was in tears because of his pain and yet she passed it off as there being no real pain and that he was just scared. He laid in the classroom for over 3 hours in horrible pain before he was picked up we were later informed that he was taken to the hospital and had been x-rayed and it was determined that his femur was broken in half.

HORRIBLE news. The director was never reprimanded and nothing was ever done about her. She is childish with temper tantrums of a two year old, favoritism, and horrible communication skills and this is what this company has in place as managers. It is a disgrace and that is just the management.

The facility is also just as horrible with holes in walls and either exposed spackle or shelves pushed in front of them to cover it up. In one room there is a child size potty that the tank was removed by a child and dropped and is broken in a large area and the fix was to cover it with trash bags. There are doors that do not operate properly and toys that look as though they are from the 70's, they are dirty, unsanitary, and not something I would ever allow my child to play with.

It is sad that so many parents are oblivious to the conditions their children are in. I removed myself from it and with any luck I will have the pleasure of knowing that the director has lost her job but I am not holding my breath.

KinderCare review in Phoenix, Arizona: Kinder Care had me arrested for trespassing

The Kinder Care in Phoenix, AZ had me arrested for trespassing when I came to pick up my son! They would not allow me to even enter the facility to check on my son. I have joint legal custody and they said I needed permission from the mother first, because she enrolled him. I have retained an attorney and plan to file a civil suit for damages. This is going to get some attention when they are served. These facilities are almost always 100 percent staffed and managed by woman, most of which are totally biased against the rights of a father.

I am the main parent of my son. I am the one who enrolled him in daycare, yet I would not be offended if they asked me for ID when picking my son up.

They do this for the saftey of the children. I know that it may have been upsetting when you were told that you could not enter the building and tempers can easily rise in this situation. But I am sure that you did not remain calm and talk rationally because if you had done so the police would most likely not have been called. By staying calm you could have got your childs mother on the phone and had her authorized you to pick up your child.

You could have then later dealt with the issue of having your name placed on the ok to pick up list.

Have fun trying to sue because you are just going to be wasting your time and your money. You are the one who was clearly in the wrong. The sad thing is that you are the only one who does not see this.

I wonder, have you spent a good part of your life being the victim or have you learned to take a bad situation and come out empowered. Maybe that is a big art of your problem with women: The fact that they kknow how to properly empower themselves in a bad situation and all you know how to do is to get angry.

Not to metion- you should be banned from being around kids if you are going to get so updet that you need to be arrested when there are so many kids around.

While I understand your outrage at being held in suspicion, consider the horrible tradgedy that happened several years ago in the Valley....

A daycare center allowed a man to pick up his daughter without question, and he ended up taking the little girl far out along the road. He then proceeded to douse the girl with gasoline and set it alight, driving back and forth, watching as the innocent toddler burned to death in the ditch. He had previously been served with a restraining order by his wife, who had told the daycare staff NOT to let her husband take their child.

This issue has nothing to do with bias, and everything to do with protecting these kids.
